Project overview
Completed TETFund-funded programme at Abia State University evaluating Nigerian medicinal plants and agricultural by-products.
Published outcomes include wound healing studies on Musa paradisiaca stem and Cucurbita pepo leaf (Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2023; Scientia Pharmaceutica, 2022), antidiarrhoeal evaluation of Ananas comosus leaf (Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2023), and coconut water hepatoprotection (Bulletin of the National Research Centre, 2022).
Recent extension: cowpea ethnomedicinal review (Clinical Traditional Medicine and Pharmacology, 2026) and natron/potash uterine smooth muscle study (2026).
